A Christmas Tree

Good day to you folks —

I am a bit “under-the-weather” — not feeling too good. I developed an abscessed tooth this past weekend. (Why is it that crises always happen on weekends or holidays?) On top of that, most of the dentists’ offices in our area are closed Dec. 21-Jan. 3. Luckily, however, there is one here that is staying open until Thursday — a much more agreeable policy. I stood on the threshold to death, but the doctor prescribed an antibiotic, which improves my condition gradually. She will extract the tooth on Dec. 30th, the day after my birthday. I still have a very low energy level. Hope that improves soon, but it is so low that I don’t feel up to composing a full-blown blog post. What I have decided to do, in order to keep any regular readers at ease, is to forward to you an electronic Christmas card.

Those of you who have been reading my blog during the three years I have been publishing it will be aware that I am no longer a follower of any established religion but that I am a “spiritual person”, just like a growing majority of people in the world now. However, I grew to adulthood as a practicing Christian, and I still enjoy much of that faith’s sacred music. Also, this Christmas card, which I received from a friend several years ago, is one that I have emailed to other friends over the past years. Whatever your own religious preference, I think you will enjoy the simple beauty of this e-card…and it’s brief, too. You need to have your sound system in working order, and you have to click on the angel to make things happen.

Here it is: http://www.jacquielawson.com/viewcard.asp?code=2009810796006&source=jl999

Happy holidays!
Bob

Merry Christmas, Bob! Maybe someday I’ll visit the Monahans area again.
